You could get a headache over all the latest information on the recent studies released regarding Aspirin and its possible benefits against cancers. Well, it appears a low-dose aspirin just might help you with both of these health issues in addition to heart disease.
University of Oxford’s Peter Rothwell and his colleagues looked at eight studies that included more than 25,000 patients and cut the risk of death from certain cancers by 20%. However, this was not the initial purpose of the studies. The initial trials compared men (only 1/3 of people were women) who took a daily dose of at least 75 milligrams of aspirin for heart related problems to people who took a placebo or another drug. This study lasted on an average of four years. The reduction in deaths from esophageal, pancreatic, brain and lung cancer showed up within five years of the study and further reductions in colorectal, prostate and stomach cancer showed up later. Since this study did not include a high number of women, breast cancer and aspirin did not reveal a reduction in breast cancer deaths.
I wonder what it would be like if they considered breast cancer in men with this study?
There were 20 fewer cancer deaths among the 12,785 study participants who were on low-dose aspirin for almost six years, compared with those not taking aspirin (the remaining placebo group). It’s now speculated the reason the aspirin helps with the prevention is it achieves this by affecting blood platelets to reduce inflammation. As we have often mentioned with information regarding breast cancer, natural anti-inflammatory products may assist with prevention.
But 100 more serious bleeding incidents occurred in the low-dose aspirin group, compared to those in the placebo group. This means, you should not just begin taking a low-dose aspirin regimen on your own but should discuss this with your doctor first.
There is much more research that needs to take place and this includes an ongoing trial that will evaluate the effectiveness of Aspirin and prevention which is due to be reported sometime next year. However as always, any information is hopeful for the prevention of all cancers.

There lots of breast cancer awareness products but aspirin isn't proven yet to be that effective. The best thing for male or female to learn how to prevent this from happening, then participating or engaging in awareness programs and stuff is the best answer.
